Maximum hotspot speed for M33 5G ?

Currently using a TP Link 300Mbps usb adapter with 2.4ghz wifi hotspot and maximum speed I get is 72Mbps. Same jio 5g network I use through usb c and I get around 400Mbps. So before I buy another wifi adapter, what should be the maximum hotspot speed for this phone ? Will 5ghz wifi adapter help achieve better speed ?

It can go upto 1 gbps or, so. But, let's say you are downloading something through your pc like IDM, torrent, or, steam games, your phone will not be able to maintain the processing power it requires, so, it may shift back to 4g because these types of apps utilizing all the available bandwidth of your hotspot connection.
Due to this, your phone (which is already a midranger) it have to process 5g network + 5 ghz hotspot at full throttle and hence, it may shift back to 4g. I hope you are understanding it.

Rather I would suggest using usb tethering but, on usb 3.0 port of your pc

I'm using the same but I need wireless solution so a better adapter can atleast give me 400Mbps which is my usb tethering speed

It doesn't matter as the smartphone support only usb 2.0
