Galaxy MInitally (android P) the device was good, no lags in day to day usage, games like pubg also used to run fine. Battery backup was phenomenal. (Although the Q update was not the one what ruined it, the feb security patch pushed in the last week of Jan if I remember correctly, was when the low backup and heating problems started, and it has continued ever since)
Although I'm not a camera person and not a selfie guy by any means, I didnt see any improvements in the camera after the Q update except the dropping of quality in the front cam.
Device performance was totally ruined. There are lags in day to day usage, while switching between apps, while scrolling long chrome pages, and device heats up like crazy. Pubg, which used to give 40-45 fps previously never exceeded the 30 fps mark, not to mention the 'ping spike' issue where the ping used to rise suddenly whenever there was load on the processor, like during a 1v1, and so playing the game was impossible.
Charging time was ruined too alongwith the SoT, due to overheating.
Also, the hotspot issue was never resolved, which made your device hotspot undetectable on lan adapters and older laptops (updating drivers and resetting profile had no effect).
And yeah, many small features like motion wallpaper were removed.
The only thing I liked about the Q update was the nav gestures, which lag a lot now.
The network issue was never resolved, although they had pushed an update which supposedly solved the issue, but it turned out to be a gimmick where the signal strength was shown much more than what it actually was. So, no improvement in network speed and latency.
The long-hyped CA feature was never added, and it turns out Samsung used some different technology with SoC in M30s and so, CA was nearly impossible.
Right now, the ui2.1 and 2.5 hype is going on as many M series devices are receiving the core version of these updates. People are expecting it for m30s too, but im sure It wont get these updates.
Long story short, Q fUc.k ed up the device and the only reason I'm still sticking up to m30s is the Amoled display and oneui. Otherwise an average device, which I wouldve liked to ditch, but couldnt.
