July security update in M30s

It is best to use smartswitch or odin in service centre to update for glitch free experience atleast for major updates. 

I don't get any issues as I used to update via odin. Never used ota in a long time. ( 5 or 6 times in my 8years with Samsung devices) 

It took almost 30min to download files. Then it started updating my device. 

Update was completed. Device restarted and I got finished update notification.

Funny thing is smartswitch In laptop stuck at 0% even though update, reastart all completed in my mobile. 

Waited for another 30min and force closed it using task manager.

From where do you download updates, if you want to install from odin?

I have this app called frija in my laptop from xda developers. It fetches latest software and downloads at high speed. For me it takes 2-4min with 50mbps BB connection. Sammobile is also trusted but speed is very slow and takes 4-5hrs to download.

Then I am better off with OTA/smart switch and samsung service center in case of issues with OTA update.

I haven't faced any issues with OTA update till now.

You can't flash manually in smartswitch. If you update through ota and you got issues nothing you can do with smartswitch.
