Galaxy m31 Fingerprint unlock won't work until i wake up the phone screen

Why the hell the fingerprint unlock feature only works after waking up the lock screen??? It's a new phone and m having this annoying issue for last 2months since i bought it. I think after long period of inactivity fingerprint sensor goes to deep sleep mode or something else. But why the hell would this do so??? Is this a samsung one UI bug???

Exactly, I am facing this issue since i bought it. So frustrating yaar!! This is my 1st samsung phone.

Go to settings, then apps, then click on the three dots on the top right corner and click "Show system apps", then scroll down and click on

com.samsung.android.biometrics.app.setting

Then click on Battery and check if Allow background usage is turned on or not. Turn it on if it is off.

Other than this, I cannot find any other relevant setting to change.

Already done this mate. Also turned off battery optimization for "com.samsung.biometrics.app.setting"
still of no use.

Hi,I began facing this issue a week a ago and your suggestion helped. I disabled many system apps from being battery monitored/optimised and now the biometric works after screen lock. Thanks. Never imagined that the battery optimisation could be this aggressive.

Goto biometrics setting then fingerprint section and check whether always on fingerprint is enabled or not.

Where to find this option? I cannot find any option like this in fingerprint section.
