Galaxy MNokia C1 is a low-end 3G phone released in 2020 with 1gb RAM, 16gb storage, and Android 9 OS. Even that specs of phone has been able to enable the face unlock with its recent updates. I don't know why Samsung is not capable of enabling this face unlock feature for M02, which was a popular budget-friendly phone back in 2021 with a good customer base. Users are inquiring for enabling this valuable feature since 2021 on behalf of the all M02 users, but still it's not seem any progress even it's obviously possible feature to integrate with the recent technological advance. Really disappointed of that! :(

That's very true, Samsung could have easily done it. However, I don't think they will for a few reasons.
1. The M02 is outdated and will not receive any major updates even if this feature gets released later on.
2. Unfortunately for consumers, samaung has a tiering system, meaning that features trickle down to lower end phones from higher end ones. Since samaung needs to show some differentiation and show that top-tier phones get more features, they have made face unlock exclusively for higher level phones.
3. While the M series is known for its brilliant battery life, samsung will probably not want to give it features that will make it more desirable than the A series, for instance.
These are the reasons why I think Face unlock may not come to certain devices. It's nothing to do with hardware capabilities at all.

Yah, you're right. But the thing is, this feature is already developed and comes with many phone models. So, they don't need to put much effort to enable this for users. Besides, it is come with M series mobiles also..

It’s completely understandable why you’d feel disappointed with Samsung’s decision on the M02. The fact that other budget models, like the Nokia C1, have managed to add face unlock even with modest hardware shows that it’s technically achievable, and it’s reasonable for M02 users to expect similar support. It can be frustrating when a feature that's useful and clearly implementable isn’t made available, especially on a device that has a loyal customer base.
Samsung’s approach might be due to software optimization priorities, security considerations, or resource allocation decisions. Lower-end devices often receive fewer updates or certain features get restricted due to hardware or market segmentation strategies. Nonetheless, with technology advancing and budget phones becoming more capable, it does feel like this feature should be standard.
If Samsung were to enable face unlock on the M02 through a future update, it would definitely be well-received by users. In the meantime, if there’s any other feature or workaround you’d like help with on your M02, feel free to ask.
