Charging in Galaxy M20

 So this charging problem is bugging me for a while now, my phone charges very slowly on fast charging and charges normally on cable charging mode but then the battery gets drained very quickly. I want to know if my charger is defective or if it is a software problem so that i can buy a new charger if necessary. Also, if someone is facing the same problem please let me know. Help.

Does it indicate fast charging when you plug it in. Some times loose connection can prevent it from fast charging.
My m20 goes from 15% to 90% in almost 2hrs.

nope, it is connected properly

Then Go in Settings>>Device Care>>Battery>>Charging>>Fast Charging. Toggle it on/off/on
then check if its fast charging or not.

i have done that and it is showing fast charging but actually it isnt being charged even at a normal speed

did u check your device with a factory reset?

No i did not reset my phone. After a few days it started charging normally and now i dont face this issue anymore. I think it was probably beacuse I left my phone to overcharge at night.

when you connect a cable, do you recieve a notification that your port is moist?

just charging is indicating in notification palan it shows as cable charging
