On Samsung Galaxy M15/F15, there is no direct "Auto-start" setting like in some other brands, but you can manage background app activity using Battery & Device Care settings. Here’s how you can check, enable, or disable auto-start behavior for apps without using third-party apps:
Method 1: Manage Background App Activity
1. Go to Settings > Battery and Device Care.
2. Tap on Battery.
3. Select Background usage limits.
4. Here, you’ll find:
Put unused apps to sleep – Apps that are rarely used won’t run in the background.
Sleeping apps – These apps won’t run in the background but can be opened manually.
Deep sleeping apps – These apps won’t run in the background at all unless you open them.
If you want an app to auto-start and always run in the background, remove it from Sleeping or Deep Sleeping apps.
Method 2: Manage App Permissions (For Auto-start)
1. Go to Settings > Apps.
2. Select the app you want to modify.
3. Tap on Battery.
4. Choose Unrestricted if you want the app to start automatically.
5. Choose Optimized or Restricted if you want to prevent auto-start.
Method 3: Optimize or Allow Apps at Startup
1. Go to Settings > Apps.
2. Tap the three-dot menu (top-right corner) > Special access.
3. Select Allow app while data saver is on or Appear on top, depending on the app's behavior.
4. Toggle the permissions based on your need.
To prevent auto-start, put the app in Deep Sleeping Apps or set battery usage to Restricted.
To allow auto-start, set battery usage to Unrestricted and remove it from Sleeping Apps.
Let me know if you need further clarification! 😊
