Samsung recently unveiled its first smartphone in the Galaxy M series with a 108MP camera: the Galaxy M53 5G. This is the company's second mid-range smartphone to have a high-resolution camera sensor. Even so, the Galaxy M53 5G is closer to the Galaxy A73 5G than the Galaxy A53 5G.

The Galaxy M53 5G features a 6.7" Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It features a 108MP primary rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. At the front, the phone is equipped with a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls. The phone can record 4K 30fps videos using front and rear cameras.
The Galaxy M53 5G is also South Korea's first midrange smartphone with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. It's like the Exynos 1280 and the Snapdragon 765G in terms of raw power. It uses TSMC's 6 nm processor and features two Cortex-A78 ARM CPU cores, six Cortex-A55 ARM CPU cores and Mali-G68 MP4 processor. The phone comes with 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot (up to 1 TB).
The phone's connectivity features include sub-6GHz 5G, dual SIM card slot, GPS, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port.
Other features of the smartphone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 5,000mAh battery, and 25W fast charging support.
The phone will be available in Blue, Brown, and Green color variants.
The phone runs Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box, and might likely get at least two major Android OS updates in the future.

The Galaxy M53 5G became official in Europe and certain Asian countries a few months back and is now available in India and Sri Lanka. .
