Galaxy MTo reset the adaptive brightness, you'll need to go to Settings > Apps and notifications > See all x apps > Device Health Service > Storage and cache > Clear storage > Reset adaptive brightness.

If you find that the display dims automatically and you'd like to increase the brightness, try deactivating the Adaptive brightness feature to control the screen brightness yourself.
1 Go to "Settings".
2 Tap "Display".
3 Tap the switch to deactivate "Adaptive brightness".
4 Slide the bar to the right to increase the screen brightness.
In case the issue still occurs. Please follow this path to register your concern in Samsung Members Application Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send.
