Hi,

Many users are facing problems after Android N update to their devices. The most common bugs reported are

1) Slow Charging
2) Increased Battery Drain
3) High RAM usage

In this post we are trying to provide solution which you can apply WITHOUT visiting Samsung care.

Q 1) My phone is charging slowly after N update.
A: Try resetting your phone after taking backup. This should solve the issue completly.
If you are still facing problem, try removing battery and reinserting.
Another measure is to switch off your phone and change it till 100% in switched off state.

Q 2) Increased battery drain.
A: if you haven't resetted your phone after os update, try resetting it.
Set all apps which you use to sleep automatically in Settings - >Device maintains - > Battery - > Always sleeping apps.
Restart off your phone at least once a week or let OS do it automatically by configuring it in Device Maintenance app in settings.
Update all your apps from Google play after update. Update Samsung apps by going to Galaxy Apps-> My Apps - > Update.

Q 3) High RAM usage.
A: Follow all steps in Q2. This would solve the issue. If the problem still persist, change resolution of your device to lower level in Settings - > Display.



If your issue still persist after following all the steps, visit your nearest Samsung Care. Don't forget to Update your phone to latest software. Do hard reset after every major update.

no use
1) software issues only...no hard reset helps..but when switching to old firmwares, no such issues.
2) too much multi tasking going on in background, which takes approx 1GB RAM.
3) same as 3rd
