How can I change default sim card mobile data without changing it to auto mode?
Is this something that might get fixed in Android 7.1.1?

auto connect means that it'll automatically switch between lte/3g/2g depending on the signal strength..

I know. is there any way I can bypass it and easily switch internet between cards without changing modes?

nope. that's how it is supposed to work..

Yes, that's how it should work. You can't be on LTE without using data. Because LTE runs everything on data

Thanks for being with Samsung and sharing your concern. We would like to inform you that once you have selected the auto mode in 1 slot then you need to change the network mode when you will switch to another slot for selecting mobile data. It is default feature of the device can not be changed.
