Hello! Sir, The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is a great phone,hope,you know it. Why did you keep this phone down for the latest major software updates? J7 Prime has a great milestone for the Samsung smartphone history,you know. It was a first phone for the journey of the Samsung phone kingdom to turn into the feature phone to the midrange smartphone market.It's a legacy! Can Samsung deny it? It's a phone which has the all features of Samsung flagship phones except display! J7 Prime has the great features excluding Super Almoled display or Infinity display! No need for this kind of displays! It runs very well till now. This phone has given Samsung a very special Identity for the Smartphone kingdom arround the world. Has Samsung forgot it? How many people do purchase flagship phones regularly and how many people purchase midrange smartphones regularly all over the world? As far as I know, J7 prime has the huge users than other Samsung models. J7 duo,J6 infinity or J7 Prime 2 has the same processor as the J7 Prime. They,all,have already had the pie update except J7 Prime! But,why is that!? Yes,J7 Prime has already had three major updates from the beginning,I know. But,so what? One phone should be live till it gets life when its processor is compatible for Android pie update too! So,it seems that how many times the phone has had the major updates, it's not a big thing;the big thing is that in order to get major updates if the phone is compatible or not. Hope, Samsung should think about it thoroughly and properly. Thank you, Samsung.
j7 prime unable to get some certification required prior to pie update , example wifi alliance not allowing pie certification for the model etc
so no pie update for j7 prime
2nd Google android update policy as stated no major OS updates after 2 OS updates
3rd samsung android update policy
so there is no way to get update on OS , not even google will allow it
previously Google talks about Ptoject TREBLE but now google follows PROJECT MAINLINE for OS updates , so only 2 OS updates for android devices are allowed
