This post is dedicated to them who are complaining or going to complain by today about new update. Yes I do agreed latest update makes system a bit laggy as of now. But for your info there is a thing called KERNEL which basically connects between hardware and software And it takes few hours (to days) of time to cope up with new software.
And in between making the exact connection, between hardware and software the phone may become laggy/hot/ huge battery drain. Most of time after few days all things became normal. But if still some bugs exist company will provide some fix within a quarter to resolve those issues.

Thanks.
Sorry if this post make you any mislead.( Post is made for informing to those who don't have any idea about this backend process)

@your point is correct but my point is, practically its not possible to go service centre to update softwares imagine, today j6 is getting update and you know peoples are eagerly waiting for update first people don't want to go service centre and waiting for their turn, and suppose if they went for that this will also create problem for them, and bro all people can't go practically to get update
may be i am wrong here but I share my experience, as I feel peoples are quite busy in theirs daily life, works, specially private job holder who mostly get free on sunday from job but not from personal household works
its applicable for majority of peoples
but yes its possible for few peoples

They can use smart switch. That's an easy option. If that is not possible because of the busy life, then there is no point of complain.
Anyways, ota files are not bad. They are also good. But, the original smart switch files are bigger more than 2 times of the ota file. so, it is obvious that, there is some differences in both of the files.

I have done my update through SMART SWITCH. The file was 3.1 gb. but, in ota, the file was around 1.4 gb.
The ota file is less than half of the smart switch file.
Why there is a big difference ??? Is, the ota file compressed ???

SmartSwitch downloads whole firmware of phone while OTA downloads a bug fix update/ Incremental maybe.
Both are better & having it's own pros and cons!!
OTA uses less data and won't delete any user data after updating Also it doesn't require any PC.
Smartswitch uses more data as it downloads whole ROM and also deletes whole user data after updating.

No, smart switch never deletes user data. I have done the process today. The smart switch first downloads the file then flash the file to the target device and then just trigger the update. That's it.
It does not deletes any of the user data. So, I opted for factory reset after the os update. Just to get a smooth experience with this 2 years old phone.
