no ....by the way may be you simply update last big software by using mobile data or wifi thatswhy you are facing that problem.....that firmware needed to be flashed by odin or smart switch or through authorised service center which is actually and recommended process if any big os update or new interface comes
You have to mention your device model too.. Also it is recommended to update using smartswitch pc or service center atleast for major updates. And if you did with ota reset is must and may or may not fix issues you facing.
