Drop your notification panel down. U will see power saving option tap on it ones if it is on or off. The do it again. To on it. And check

Turn off data saver and turn off data warning

His problem is, that the icon has disappeared but if pulling down the notification panel it shows.

Yes, it will not show when you swipe up and exit notification panel.
It is not a bug.
