What happened to search for people

Hello All

I'm having an issue here since the latest update. Previously on the search bar in gallery (under people and pets) if I wanted pictures of a friend or even myself, I could easily find them there as they would already be categorised. Now on the people and pets, the only pictures being recognised are for dogs only....... Is there a solution to this?

I still dont know why they changed that in the gallery and its been many months since the change.Does not make sense to me since it was verry convenient

It is an app battery usage issue.

I went into settings > apps > gallery > battery > change to "restricted".

 

After about 8 hours, categoriesd people appeared.
