Have you noticed two bright objects in the sky getting closer together with each passing night? It’s Jupiter and Saturn doing a planetary dance that will result in the Great Conjunction on. Monday, Dec. 21. On that day, Jupiter and Saturn will appear from Earth to be right next to each other in the sky – the closest they've been in nearly 400 years!

Skywatching Tips – On the 21st, the planets will appear so close that a pinkie finger at arm’s length will easily cover both planets in the sky. They will be easy to see with the unaided eye by looking toward the southwest just after sunset. Here’s how to see this phenomenon for yourself.
