It does not matter who was at fault. The wound will heal and leave an ugly Scar, forever. It is the Victim, who will own it until death! Since bodily scars are visible, it attracts sympathy in proportion to the level of severity and visibility of the scar. Sympathy helps the victim for faster recovery. But there is an invisible part too, the emotional scar! This part is complicated! It is difficult for others to understand the severity of emotional impact on the victim. Every emotional scar endorses each other, in one way or the other cumulating to stronger impact. Assessing such complication is difficult without the willingness of the victim. Hence it makes more difficult to sympathise in the right way. It is easy to say “Forget, forgive and move on”. But is not an easy task for the victim! Assaulters are lucky though! They are free from all these complications, even if they caused it! Punishment is always for the Victim! Is this not injustice? Is there any way to justify? Please, let us not talk about ‘Karma’ from the previous life etc. Those are hypothetical! So, please let us not advice “Forget, forgive and move on” ... unless we can help the victim, genuinely, in their current ‘life’! But, will it not be better to take extra efforts toward prevention rather than offering a cure, later?
