A couple of months ago, my son and I visited Al Quaa Milky Way Spot, one of the UAE’s most darkest locations.
It was the perfect place to put the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s Nightography and Expert RAW Astrophoto mode to the test — and it truly delivered. With just the phone and a tripod, we captured breathtaking night skies — from constellations to the glowing arc of the Milky Way. The detail, noise control, and star clarity from a mobile camera was something I didn’t expect. A special bonding experience turned into some of our favorite night captures yet.
Pro Tips:
- Use a tripod for stability during long exposures.
- Shoot in Expert RAW and enable Astrophoto mode (try low, medium and long Astrophoto modes).
- Use the Sky Guide overlay to find and frame celestial objects.
