Samsung launched the Galaxy Fold, its most expensive and its first foldable phone, a few months ago in India. Now, in a few weeks from now, we may see the next foldable phone from the company likely to be called the Galaxy Z Flip. But that will not be the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip. Instead, Samsung is likely to launch another foldable phone in a few months from now, and this phone will be called the Galaxy Fold 2.
The Galaxy Z Flip is expected to be launched on February 11 at the company’s Unpacked event in San Francisco and it is expected to be cheaper than its predecessor Galaxy Fold. In a way, the Flip is going to be the "affordable" Samsung phone with the foldable screen. The other foldable phone Galaxy Fold 2 will be the top-end smartphone with a foldable screen from Samsung and rumours suggest that it will come with not only a 108-megapixel camera but also support for the S Pen, similar to what Samsung provides in the Note series devices.
The rumours note that the Fold 2 will support 5G and feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865. The phone is likely to feature an 8-inch display and ultra-thin glass.
Elaborating on the camera, several reports stated that it might house an enviable 108-megapixel primary camera and an S Pen stylus. If the everything turns out to be true, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be the first non-Samsung Galaxy Note series phone to get the stylus support.
