Issue with attaching pic in whatsapp

Since the outage of whatsapp a couple of days ago my whatsapp app is facing an issue where i cannot attach pics with a message. 

I am able to attach pictures on my dual messenger (whatsapp) but when i try attaching pics on my primary whatsapp it keeps exiting the app. I even reinstalled the app but still facing the same issue.

Kindly assist with this matter.

I checked woth WhatsApp and followed their troubleshooting tips but it still did not work. WhatsApp gave up and told me to check the device.

I updated the software and followed the steps, but the app still crashes. I also found that another app is also crashing and not opening. What should i do now?
