Front Camera spot.

I'm having a strange issue with the the front Camera of my fold. I'm not sure if this issue was before I bought the phone or came after words. The front camera has a strange spot inside it and it apears in every picture I take and in all video calls. I have contacted Samsung and they said that they will replace the front camera. The idea of opening the phone really disapoints and  I totally refuse and when I asked  for a replacement they disapproved! Did anyone faced such an issue. I'll attach some pictures showing the problem.

Please try  to clean your camera lens with some clean cloth.

I did and also Samsung technicians did the test. It's something inside the camera!

I did. they checked it and they said the camera needs to be changed on the warrenty but I will not risk the phone being opened I asked for a replacement but the service center refused and said that the warrenty only for fixing! I then complained to Samsung and a manager called me and reconfirmed that they can't replace it. so I will not risk opening an already fragile device.

As per the Samsung warranty policy, the phone won't be replaced for this kind of issue. Don't waste your time arguing for replacement. As long as Samsung is ready to fix this issue with a camera replacement, legally you have no choice other than giving your phone for service.


Why are you afraid of opening your device? If the device is fragile, its Samsungs responsibility to get it opened without breaking anything, even something breaks, they will replace it. The technicians are thoroughly trained to open all devices manufactured by Samsung. They will use proper tools and methodology recommended by Samsung in ESG( Excellent Service Guide).

If you are so adamant & not giving the phone for service now, Once the warranty is over, you may have to spend huge money to fix this issue.

In my experience with Samsung, it is better for you to give it for camera replacement now.

Legally??!! ... Im not taking them to court!!! its not worth it!! :)) and even if it is, its a loosing case.  Me and Samsung are "partners in products"! they make their great products and I use them so its somehow a symbiotic relationship!! :smiling-face: but nevertheless that doesnt mean that I dont get disappointed for facing this issue, which is annoying, and disappointing to any loyal client like me or you. Correct??

 

On the other hand, yes, opening the phone is  not something that ANYONE would like, some people are pickier than others though. I truly think that for such an error that is, I believe , is very rare and not of the usual errors, my case deserves to be looked at apart from "the legal" warranty agreement. after all this is not a marriage agreement... it could be more of a boyfriend/ Girlfriend kind of relationship if you get what I mean!! :))
