Hi. I received the October 1st 2024 Security Patch update early this month (November 2024). The phone restarted normally as it should. On that day we had a power outage and by evening my phone ran out of juice. I charged the phone at night via my sister's laptop to 100% then tried to switch it on. It booted but got stuck in a boot loop. The few times it managed to boot to my homescreen, it would immediately restart and get stuck in the boot loop and the phone would start to heat up. My only option was to boot into recovery mode and power it off. At first it when I selected Power Off in the Recovery Menu it would shut down then automatically restart itself and enter the boot loop state once again so I unplugged it once I got into recovery mode and powered it off.

The next day I decided to power it on again and it managed boot into my homescreen but only for a while before it powered off by itself and rebooted into that boot loop. I let it do so for a few minutes and it managed to boot into the homescreen, but this time WiFi wasn't turning on. As you'll see in the video that's how it has been for the last two weeks. Sometimes it happens with Bluetooth whereby after a few cycles of bootloops all bluetooth-related features no longer work. Usually a reboot fixes it but it doesn't work for Wi-Fi. My mobile networks also randomly disable or switch to 2G mode (from 4G) and gets stuck in that mode (Sometimes in 3G as well) until I either restart the phone (which sometimes triggers the bootloop issue) or manually remove and re-insert the sim tray. I live right next to a telephone mast so network coverage is not an issue here. The unstable Mobile Networks is becoming less frequent, though.

As for the steps I took to try and fix it, I've tried soft resets and two factory resets but the boot looping still occured and all Wi-Fi related features still don't work. Although the Boot Loop issue doesn't occur as frequently as it did immediately after the update. Nowadays it's once in a week. As for Bluetooth, sometimes a restart may disable it which forces me to restart the phone which sometimes (but not as frequent) triggers another boot loop. I've tried restarting Wi-Fi Subsystem in the Wi-fi Developer Options menu but got the message "Recovery is not available"

The day after I did the factory resets, I took the phone to a trusted technician and he told me there's nothing out of the ordinay physically with the phone. There's nothing wrong with the power button or flex cables or the visible components of the motherboard so I should try and be patient and wait for the next software update. If the problem still persists after the next update, I might need a motherboard replacement or the ROM needs to be flashed with the original that came with the phone.

I'm outside of India right now (Kenya) and the Customer Support here tells me my phone is not supported in this region and so the technician was my only option.

I've tried other methods like massaging the phone and as a last resort, putting it in a freezer while tightly wrapped for 20mins but didn't work.

I'm out of options as it is

Same here , i am also facing this issue

Dear Samsung Team,

I’m writing to share my frustration with the recent One UI 6.1 update on my Galaxy S22 Plus. Since updating, my phone frequently freezes, lags, and restarts on its own, making it difficult to use. As a loyal Samsung customer, I expected better quality control, especially for such a crucial update on a flagship device.

I urge you to investigate these issues and release a stable fix soon to restore performance.

Thank you for your attention.

Hi. I already sent error reports and logs via the members app as soon as these issues began. The responses I got were the standard troubleshooting methods and the last resort factory reset (which I had done twice) and none of those helped.

As for additional photos and videos, the one I already provided on this post already suffices. It doesn't get more elaborate than that. What you see is what's happening with the Wi-Fi and its related features. Wi-Fi doesn't work at all. It doesn't turn on at all. The animation for when you click on the button plays but when you exit the page and open it again it shows Wi-Fi off. Sometimes the animation doesn't even play and the switch button doesn't respond like in the video.

The same thing happens for Bluetooth sometimes except a simple restart fixes it.

Plus the restarts and boot loops now occur less often and are more random, so intentionally triggering it is impossible. My mobile networks still randomly restart and recently I noticed it happens more often when I'm tethering to my laptop.

Also I've been getting "Process System not responding" pop-ups since the update.

I went through other posts in this forum and noticed I'm not the only F23 5G User experiencing these issues after the update.

I hope there's a software update that'll fix it soon.

This video captures the boot loop issue I mentioned. For some reason today it started auto restarting and boot looping for at least 4 hours before it finally stabilized. Unfortunately I only managed to acquire a secondary phone to video tape the occurrence towards the end.
