wifi calling is not device issue. you have to contact with wifi calling network providers like jio or airtel at your area...if they make it compatible with your device then you can do that

1. security updates are different than software update. do wifi calling can't given in security updates
2. vowifi or wifi calling should be supported by hardware also its not only a software algorithms.

so your device c7 pro have a less chance to get wifi calling

yes VoWIFI is also hardware related ... VoWIFI is mix nature on implemention

if hardware present than all implemention automatically shifts towards carrier network

VoWIFI creates IPsec tunnel to forward calls through WIFI AP ignoring EPC towards IMS .

do hardware is needs to be present in phone than if present rest of implemention is of carrier or provider
