Hi, A5 2017 won't get PIE update known as ONE UI as because your phone is old enough and is not supported to get that upgrade. Though Samsung will provide you minor updates but your phone is only upgradeable to OREO Version.
Yes, I got updated that J3 2017 got updated to PIE and it was unusual thing and not a good thing for that phones. Though also J3 2017 users with PIE update are being irritated with the issues and impact of the software.
Samsung was not supposed to update J3 and specially 2017 models but they did without recognizing the effects and impacts. Therefore, the phone maybe laggy and irritating to use untill Samsung look into it.
- Animation lags can be turned off via settings but Samsung did wrong by updating it that high and it is causing heavy lags too.
