Yep didn't work; some say it can be bcz of the aftermarket screen protector but the fingerprint sensor is at the back...does that affect?

If the fingerprint sensor is in the back, how can a screen protector affect it. Did you use sanitizer to clean your phone recently?

Then I would suggest you to go to SC and check up your phone. There might be some hardware issue.
