Galaxy Abut now a days otg is depends on compatibility, so buy which supported your device.
if you buy off line stores then check at the same time
and if online then check is there mentioned your device name or atleast mentioned like " supported all type c devices " then only buy

Galaxy A1. Go to settings then apps.. System apps and search for USB settings then clear data of it.
2. Restart mobile in safe mode and check there.
If you are trying new otg then it might not compatible check with other.
