laggy and bad camera quality on whatsapp after the most recent android update

i have a samsung galaxy a71 and before the two most recent software updates my videos on the whatsapp app came out smooth, had a good quality and never lagged, and the same went for the pictures. now that i've updated my software to android 10, the picture and video quality on whatsapp has been terrible and the videos are blurry and laggy.

if anyone knows how to make the picture and video quality return to normal or improve, please let me know.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps: 

1. Please go to settings>> general management>> reset >> reset settings

2. Please go to Settings>>Apps>> Tap on the 3 dots on the top right corner>>Show System Apps>> Software Update>> Storage>> Clear Cache.

3. Then please perform a soft reset of your device.

Press and hold the power and volume down buttons for about 10 seconds.

*The device may take a screenshot, however keep holding the buttons for a few more seconds.
