Today, I wanted to share some thoughts regarding software optimization for devices like my Galaxy A55 5G. I didn't saw much content creators and tech experts have discussed this issue before. I thought, I should write something on this. 

While I truly appreciate the promise of four years of software updates, I've noticed that these updates often aren't tailored to the capabilities of older or less powerful hardware. As a result, phones like the A55 5G start to lag and struggle with newer versions of One UI, diminishing the user experience over time. The A55 5G, equipped with the Exynos 1480 chipset, doesn't have the same processing power as flagship models like the S25 Ultra. However, it seems that software updates are primarily optimized and tested on these higher-end devices. When these updates roll out universally, mid-range phones bear the burden of running software that may be too demanding for their hardware specifications. This issue isn't isolated to the A55 5G—it's a broader concern affecting many users with non-flagship Samsung devices. Over time, as updates accumulate, the performance gap widens, leaving users with devices that feel sluggish performance, battery issues and less responsive. It can be frustrating to invest in a device with the expectation of longevity, only to have software updates gradually hinder its performance. I've observed that other companies have encountered similar challenges but have taken steps to mitigate them by optimizing their software specifically for lower-end devices. This approach helps maintain smooth performance and extends the usability of their products over a longer period. I'm bringing this to your attention because I believe that optimizing software updates to match the hardware capabilities of each device can significantly enhance user satisfaction. Ensuring that phones like the A55 5G run smoothly throughout their supported lifespan would reinforce trust and loyalty among Samsung users who choose mid-range options.

While, I've only talked about A55 5G (cause I own this phone, being selfish), but this issue is not limited to A55 5G. It's with every phone.

Great post! Flagship devices might be the predominant target of Samsung. But people like us also pay for midrange devices. Apart from Samsung's monopolistic business, they must solve these software issues. In 2024, A55 is the worst device, which has a poor camera and poor battery charging speed. Whenever, someone posts something, they require log files, although they have never worked on any log file.
Just lost the trust on such a brand like Samsung. I wish, I'd my A52 again.

I agree with you. This issue isn't unique to Samsung; it's a problem with every other company. Unfortunately, nobody seems to take it seriously. I've seen many YouTubers claim that certain phones won't last more than 2-3 years, despite being eligible for future updates. I find this puzzling. Doesn't our money have value? Did we get these phones for free? Why shouldn't a phone last until at least the last software update? This is unacceptable.

I want to fix some points...

Overheating: Well, mine is not. Even after 2 hours of regressive gameplay, the temperature was just about ≈43°C.

Performance: Especially AI features, it'll come after One UI 7.0 update.

One UI 7.0: Even S24 Ultra didn't got the stable One UI 7.0 update. Most probably, Samsung will start roll out 7.0 update later this month, hope so!

Also only those phones which are launched after Q1 2025 galaxy unpacked, will ship with One UI 7.0, like Galaxy F07 5G.

Battery drain: I am getting almost 7-8 hours SOC, even after at 79% max charging. I don't charge 100%.

Camera: Is **bleep**. Agree with you.

DeX: In dream, it's possible. But again, agreed with your comment that @ ₹40,000 the DeX support could be advantageous.

*All these points are being made upon my personal usage. Can differ from yours! 🙏

After this all samsung is worst day by day and if you sell this device samsung devices are very less resale value than other smartphones so what is this ?
