Hello,

I would love to help.

Please take information through a trusted Member.

Please select the three dots on the top right of my comment and select "Mark as Solution". It helps a lot!

Your Galaxy A51 might have a drainage issue due to several reasons. To potentially resolve the certain one which causes this problem, the best thing to do is reset yourGalaxy Smartphone.
1. Reset. Navigate to Settings>General Management>Reset>Factory Data Reset

*Please backup you data before proceeding as this may cause data loss.

Another way to fix a Battery Drain issue is by waiting for another update. Battery issues temporarily come with Updates and may go away after a patch. To check for Software Updates,
2. Software Update. Navigate to Settings>Software Update>Check for Updates.

If you have an update pending make sure you download it.

A battery can drain also due to the fact that a battery is now degraded. This means the Battery is worn out.

You can delete some apps to minimise background usage,

or,

3. Add Sleeping apps. Navigate to Settings>Device Care>Battery>Sleeping Apps. Now add some apps you don't want battery usage for in the background.

These 3 steps may potentially fix your issue.

If you have any other queries, don't hesitate to reply, and I'll be there shortly.

Hope it helped. If it did, please mark this Comment as a solution, that would help a lot.

Thank you.

A very new phone takes some days to learn your usage patterns.
After that it will try to save battery when possible.

I bought my phone in early August and I could go 2 days before a charge.  That was with regular/moderate use.  Phone/video calls would drain the battery faster, of course.  But just using apps for however long would be fine.  About 2 weeks ago everything changed.  I installed the security update the day after Christmas and things were fine until last week.  I doubt this has any bearing on it but figured I'd mention it.

Last week I rented a car and connected my phone to it via bluetooth.  The total time connected was maybe 15 minutes.  It wasn't very long.  Every since then, my battery doesn't last long.  It drains at a scary fast rate.  I have uninstalled several apps, I have put about half of them to sleep, installed the patch that was pushed Sunday night.  I'm updating my apps as we speak.  I've owned Samsung phones for years and never once had a battery drain this fast before.  Something happened with the December patch and it hasn't been fully fixed.
