So, yesterday i said goodbye to digital wellbeing which i don't use at all for goals, parental controls etc but still consumes more than 20% per day.. you can't see this in device care. It will be shown in App info..

My SoT increased further with my usage...

Increased 2hrs more than last post.. 😁😁

This is with my usage pattern it may differ with yours...

List of apps i removed

1. Google - i don't use assistant

2. Chrome - i prefer edge & Samsung internet

3. Facebook & its apps - not opened my fb account in 3 years so app not useful for me

4. Bixby - except routines removed everything 🤣🤣

5. MS - onedrive

6. Samsung daily

7. Discover

8. Digital wellbeing

9. My galaxy

These are some which i don't need and you see on app screen. removed some other too...

So, a question arises why to remove apps by Samsung.?

Im a normal user & I purchased Samsung again only for knox & Samoled. So, i don't care about others Spay, Spass & secure folder are more important to me rather than others (bixby) which just staying idle but consume battery and resources.

I use adb to remove these.

Just google " remove system apps without root" you will get tons of tutorials 😁😁

I have a question. When you remove something via ADB, does ot clear some storage which the app had consumed previously?

yes.. only base apk are saved in system folder. after 1st setup app package is extracted from apk to user data this is where everything related to that user with app lies and this is what takes storage. base apk always less than 10mb in rare cases more but not more than 50mb. the size which we see in app manager is the package size which includes updates, data & other stuff related to app stored in data partition not system. so by using adb you are removing just package folder from your user data not system. one adb command or reset will restore/ extract files from base apk to data again. even intall from store does it. if a size shown in app manager is 100mb and base apk is 4 then you are saving 96mb by deleting package folder.

That is the reason why we can reinstall the app using adb command without downloading, right? Also, is there any way to delete the apk without root?

no apk can't be deleted without root.. root permissions necessary for that. only package can be deleted and that's the only thing we can without root.. which is also helpful.
