For the longest time, Samsung has been notorious for delayed and broken software upgrades. Thankfully, things have gotten a lot better now, as is demonstrated by the company's impeccable Android 10-based One UI 2.0 rollout. There have been virtually no delays, and just about every phone has received its update on time. The Galaxy A50 received its first taste of Android 10 last month. However, it was available only in select markets. The software is now rolling out to users across the globe.

One UI 2.0 brings forth all the standard Android 10 features such as Digital Wellbeing stats, support for Google's new navigation gestures, a dedicated screen recording app, and more. Since the update is based on One UI 2.0, and not One UI 2.1, Galaxy A50 users will miss out on exciting features such as Quick Share, Music Share, Single Take Mode, Pro Video Mode, and more. Let's hope that Samsung makes at least some of these features available for the Galaxy A50 at a later date.

The One UI 2.0 update for the Galaxy A50 is now available in several European regions, as well as countries such as UAE, Jordan, and the Philippines. It may take a while for the software to land on your device as it is dependent on a lot of factors such as your location and carrier preferences. You can try to manually trigger the update by heading over to the Software Update tab in your device's Settings app. Alternatively, you can sideload it via a PC/Mac using Samsung Smart Switch.

A50 is one of the top 3 selling smartphones last year (2019). They should be responsible for the updates arriving on time since the number of customers has grew. I still support and love Samsung products over any other company yet they are still delayed on software updates because they actually pack handy software features and had a change of the UI completely. I love how far they have come and wish they could upgrade on software side on camera department too.
