Hi family, since I downloaded ui 8 I have discovered that my galaxy A55 phone screen started behaving like it blinks like a screenshot. Am I alone or can someone please explain to me if he has any idea.Thank you.

Thank you for contacting us and sharing your concern regarding the phone’s screen issue.

Please follow the troubleshooting steps below to solve the problem. After completing all the steps, check whether the issue has been resolved or if it still exists.

Here are the troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the screen blinking:

  1. Simple Restarts and Basic Checks
    • Restart your phone: This can clear minor temporary software glitches.
    • Check for software updates: Samsung often releases quick patches to fix issues after major updates. Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
    • Remove screen protectors: Some unofficial or poorly fitted protectors may interfere with display sensors. Remove it temporarily to check if the blinking stops.

  2. Check for App Conflicts (Safe Mode)
A third-party app incompatible with One UI 8 may be causing the flickering.

Boot into Safe Mode:
• Turn off your phone completely.
• Turn it on and, when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume Down button.
• Keep holding until the phone finishes booting. “Safe mode” will appear in the lower-left corner.

Observe the screen:
• If the blinking stops in Safe Mode, the problem is caused by a third-party app.

Exit Safe Mode:
• Restart your phone normally.

Uninstall problematic apps:
• Remove any recently installed or updated apps—especially those affecting display, brightness, or color settings.

  1. Clear the Cache Partition
Corrupted cache files after a major update may cause performance or display issues. This will not delete personal data.

• Turn off your phone.
• Connect the phone to a computer using a USB cable.
• Press and hold Volume Up + Power buttons until the Samsung logo appears.
• Release the buttons to enter Recovery Mode.
• Use Volume Down to highlight “Wipe cache partition.”
• Use the Power button to select it.
• Select “Yes” to confirm.
• After completion, select “Reboot system now.”

  1. Check Display Settings
    • Disable Eye Comfort Shield and Extra Dim temporarily to rule out display-related software conflicts.

  • Go to Settings > Display > Eye comfort shield

  • Go to Settings > Accessibility > Visibility enhancements > Extra dim
