Don't hold your breath. Despite what is said on the forums of 'Samsung is off it's update schedule', 'The phone will receive the update'. It wont come. Not even all the Ao2's have received Android 11 yet because as far as Samsung is concerned the device doesn't matter. The rest of the line up got 12 in the so called phased roll out, we were left out in the cold with empty promises. It would have been easy to update this when they were doing the A02S rom, but didn't, now if you look around the web Samsung has clearly did a cleaning up operation to make it like the device never existed. We were even demoted to every 6 months updates that never materialized. Lets just face it we were kicked to the curb. Samsung doesn't even have the guts to let us know that.
I just found out that the Galaxy M02 just got Android 12 months ago. (This device is exactly the same internally as the A02) So why did A02 owners only get an August and October security patch? One that could have been bundled with a Android 12 rom one that no other Samsung device needed to upgrade to Android 12? This time could have been better spent on getting the owners of the A02 an Android 12 ROM that was promised to us back in July. Now it's October 2022 and the last possible quarter Samsung could have delivered an Android 12 ROM to its promised clientele. Unless Samsung doesn't plan on releasing it at all. Which would be weird considering it would be absolutely nothing to port this rom from the M02.
