When is the UI 8.5 coming for Samsung galaxy A54 5G in South Africa, because I only get security updates

You have to wait until that latest S series are released then wait for A57 to release. Then wait until you get 8.5 update.
So, you will get One UI 8.5 in about 5 to 7 months. Long wait...

One UI 8.5 should be out on or sometime after the S26 series announcement, which is on the 25th of February, and even then, the official release for budget and midrange devices will take a while
