Title: Urgent: WhatsApp Earpiece Bug / Manufacturing Fault in Galaxy A36 Description: "Hi Samsung Community, I am using the Samsung Galaxy A36, and I've encountered a consistent manufacturing fault that needs immediate attention. The Issue: When listening to WhatsApp voice messages through the earpiece, the first message plays correctly. However, the second message automatically switches to the loudspeaker while the phone is still against my ear. This is a major privacy concern and is very frustrating in public places. I have verified this on multiple A36 units, and the fault exists in every single one. It seems to be a synchronization issue between the software and the proximity sensor. Please investigate this and release a software patch to fix this bug as soon as possible. Has anyone else with an A36 experienced the same thing?"

Immediate Troubleshooting

Since you've seen this on multiple units, it's likely a software optimization issue, but these steps can sometimes "force" the sensor to behave:

Disable "Double Tap to Turn On Screen": Go to Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and Gestures. Sometimes the screen "waking up" between messages tricks the proximity logic. Check the "Samsung Members" Diagnostics: Open the Samsung Members app. Tap Support > View Tests. Select Proximity Recognition. If it fails the "consecutive" test, you have clear evidence of a firmware bug to show a technician. Case/Screen Protector Check: Even a microscopic overlap of a screen protector on the top bezel can throw off the virtual sensor’s "distance" calculation during the transition between audio files.

"Hello, thanks for your reply. It’s not just about the phone touching the ear. I have tested this on multiple A36 units. The problem is that the first voice note plays correctly through the earpiece, but as soon as the second one starts automatically, it switches to the loudspeaker, even if the phone is kept steadily against the ear. This confirms it’s a synchronization issue between the software and the proximity sensor during continuous playback."

"I have completed the Proximity Sensor test in the Samsung Members app as suggested, and the result is 'Normal'. This confirms that the hardware is fine, but there is a definite software/firmware bug during continuous WhatsApp playback. The switch to the loudspeaker only happens exactly when the second message starts automatically. Please escalate this to the software engineering team for a firmware update."
