I updated it just now and the performance has improved,apparently we are supposed to be getting One UI 5 beta but still nothing.

Can you provide screenshots of the pop-up ads?

There are ads that pop ups on the screen, covering the whole screen like those ones in free to download games and apps but does not make the phone unusable (sometimes have in-app purchase to remove the ads), there are ads that pops up out of nowhere, covering the whole screen when not using any apps (mostly adware/malware), there are ads that pops up on the notification panel, there are ads that block most view of a website, there are ads that pops up, covering the whole screen caused by apps which users usually sideload which sometimes has a transparent icon (malware) and more. What type of pop-up ads are you referring to?
