I currently have the Galaxy A22 4g device, since 2021 I've gotten security updates till February 2022. Furthermore my device got nothing. Currently it's still on andriod 11, and February security patch. The A22 4G got the andriod 12 update in May and my device didn't get it. Now the andriod 13 is rolling out for my device and I'm worried that it won't get andriod 13 either.
Please advice. I've been to Samsung in Waterfront and they were not of any help either.
Hi @shireen13!!! Although I don't work for Samsung, I'm just a user like you, using the A22 4g. Have you tried to contact Vodacom to ask about the updates for your phone?
Do try... usually, carrier-locked devices are very different from open ones. Open devices get FOTA directly from Samsung once the updates are live for that region. But for carrier locked models, the updates are sent to the carriers for some reasons, one of them being that each carrier adds certain services to the software.
