You can update software yourself without any cost or having to go anywhere.

You can always try a hard reset yourself.
You can google how to do it on your model.
A hard reset will revert it back to its original in the box software

Software update service should be free if being done by authorised Samsung center within warranty period. If outside warranty they might charge a nominal fee but if you have a computer and smartswitch app installed then it's a very easy process tutorials of which are available on YouTube.
