Smart Tag won't Ring - Lost My Keys

I've got a Smart Tag on my house keys and I've misplaced them. It's been about a week now. The Tag is on the keys, SmartThings does locate it in my house somewhere but it just won't allow me to ring it when I press the "Ring" button. What could be causing this? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still no luck

Did you put the Smart Tag on Power Saving mode?

Nope. How do you even do that? I don't fiddle with it at all. Since I got it, the only thing I've done was change the battery.
