Every now and then I explore the online "Galaxy Theme" store for wallpapers and lock-screen videos. While a few videos (like the blue waves crashing on the sand) made it to my Lock-screen, none of the wallpapers made it to my Home Screen.

The problem is that photo wallpapers make it hard for me to see the foreground icons. This problem is sometimes overcome (in Settings) by giving users the option to vignette ("soft transparent dark edges") the photo or apply a soft blur to it ("bokeh effect"). As a last measure, icons could cast a shadow or a soft glow around their edges.

But for now I am reverting to Tapet App for randomly generated backgrounds. Foreground icons must be easy to spot and bacglkground photo should not interfere with this.

I can't add shortcut apps to my lock screen, I don't know what is going on with it. Now it's been a couple of months this feature keeps failing to respond to my input and it's not good.
I tried to be patient on this issue but now it pressures me out of my loop

I just tried editing the Lock Screen. I have the same 2 "Plus Sign" buttons at the bottom. The first one I assigned the Flash Light and Camera to the second.

One UI 5.1 will let me add other Apps from my installed Apps but if I do that, I will have to unlock them using PIN or Fingerprint at the Lock Screen. So it is pointless. I better unlock my phone and go straight to that App.

Best to stick with Flashlight and Camera Apps as those don't require unlocking when accessed on the Lock Screen.

The second Lock Screen screen lets you add widgets.
