Galaxy A
Hi everyone,
I’m using a Samsung Galaxy A72 (8GB RAM, 128GB Storage) and have been facing an annoying issue lately. The phone freezes during use and sometimes even when the screen is off, it becomes completely unresponsive. The only way to fix it is by restarting the device.
Has anyone else faced this issue? I’d like to know:
1. Why is this happening?
2. What are the possible solutions to fix it?
I’ve tried restarting the phone, but the issue keeps coming back. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Looking forward to your suggestions.

I'm having same issue. Firstly my phone was heating up a lot, only the part where processor is, then I factory reset it. Didn't make any major difference in heating issue and now all of sudden it has become v v laggey. Sometimes when I receive a call my screen becomes completely unresponsive too. I bought my cell bk in 2021. I wonder how ppl can keep using cell phones for more than 3,4 years with our any issues

I completely understand your frustration because I’m facing the same issue with my Samsung A72. I bought this phone in 2024, and I had high expectations since I always heard that Samsung is a very reliable company with great phones packed with features.
To be fair, people were correct—it does have good features and performance initially, but now it’s giving me these freezing and unresponsiveness issues, which is really disappointing.
Have you been able to solve the problem, or are you still dealing with it? I’d really like to know if there’s a proper fix for this.

I'm still dealing with it. Unfortunately didn't find any solution. I think Samsung just like apple when push an update that not only downgrades battery life but also make the phone slower. So that customes keep changing their cells phones after every 2 years

It’s really disappointing, especially when we invest in a phone expecting it to last for at least 4-5 years. If you do come across a fix, please let me know!

Try a Hard reset from recovery mode; that should fix your device's problems.

What's the difference between doing factory reset normally from the phone's setting and from recovery mode?
