This is not the first time we are hearing of the Galaxy A71 5G. It has already made an appearance at both the 3C certification authority and GeekBench. Naturally, revealing details along the way.

Now the unannounced device (SM-A7160) is also listed on TENAA, along with what is a pretty complete specs sheet. In keeping with previous info, the A71 5G will sport a rather big 4,370 mAh battery, capable of 25W (11V, 2.25A) charging. It will probably be taking up most of the space inside the phone’s 162.6 x 75.5 x 8.1mm, 185 gram body.

Unfortunately, that’s about as much as we currently know about the handset’s exterior. No official data on the display diagonal and details, like the selfie camera design and placement. No renders or photos of the Galaxy A71 5G have surfaced at this time, either.

Circling back to the internals of the phone, however, we do have a pretty complete picture. One that includes Samsung’s own Exynos 980 chipset, complete with its Shannon 5G modem. As a side note, unlike the Exynos 990 and the Snapdragon 865, this is an integrated 5G modem solution we are looking at in the Exynos 980. Also on the specs sheet – 8GB of RAM and expandable storage. No word on capacity variants, thus far, though.

In the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G will be rocking a 64MP main camera, likely accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and a 5MP depth-sensing module. On the front – a 32MP selfie snapper. Other little bits and pieces TENAA shares include a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi ac and Android 10, with either Samsung’s One UI 2.0, or perhaps newer 2.1, on top.
