Hi Team,
I bought brand new Samsung A55 256gb smart phone few days back. Now while using Google maps gps signal is lost and not showing the correct locations. It shows searching for gps and gives wrong readings. I have updated the maps, cleared the cache and data of maps, made settings with accurate location, reset network settings, all possible solutions that fixes the issue.. but still not working.

Please help me to confirm whether I have a bad device with bad gps network or any setting or software issues

I am having the same issue with losing gps signal on my Samsung Galaxy A55 when in Google maps. I have had this phone  since Apri and use Google maps fairly regulary and have only noticed this being an issue in the last 3-4 weeks. Samsung, can you please investigate this issue as a priority and provide a fix for asap please.

Bought a brand new a55 as well, have the same problemen. At the same time my wife did, but she's not having the issue. I can recall from my former Phone (a52) had the same issue when using it as a hotspot. When restarting is was ok. Later on the issue dissapeared, guess with updates. Now followed some above instructions,  hope it will dissapear. On vacation abroad so don't want to mess l too much with the setting.

I have the same problem.  My gps not working unless I reboot my phone.  Gps is not just an usual app, it is the app to help driver safety nowadays.   So, it is a safety issue.  Can samsung really solve it seriously ?

My Samsung A55 5g (256GB, 12 GB) brand new mobile. GPS not working. Cleared cache , cookie , disabled/enabled Google map, restarted phone several times. all phone and app updates done. Location services tested. Accuracy settings are on (Wifi and bluetooth). Still GPS is not working . I am heartbroken after paying a huge premium price for this phone. Samsung support , please help.

It is very dissppointing and frustrating to see that GPS is not working on my Galaxy A55 5G (256GB storage 12GB RAM) smartphone. Me and my family got into troubles during navigation several times because of the GPS navigation failure in Google map. I have tried all possible solutions available below.

1. Disabled and Enabled Google Map
2. Cleared cache/cookie and restarted the application. Restarted the phone.
3. Veirified all required permissions. Infact even removed google maps from sleeping and deep sleeping apps list.
4. Verified location accuracy and both Wifi scanning and Bluetooth Scanning is enabled by defult under location services settings.

Finally Google map worked only after uninstalling all the updates from app settings/information and using old version of Google Map. Kindly let us know whose fault is this bug ? Is it Samsung bug or Google bug ? This is a daily used application and negligence of this is unfortunate and intolerable. Fix it is ASAP please.

I recently had the same problem. I updated the system to version A556BXXU4AXH1 8/9 hours ago. I did not reboot the system after the update. Now the GPS is working fine. I don't know if it will continue to work for the next few days or if I have to reboot the system every 10~ hours, but it is definitely an improvement over the last version.

I found a work-around on my wife's phone.

Uninstall the Updates from Google maps then restart.

You can then go a step further to prevent automatic updates in future.

I'd not suggest removing updates normally, but this is the exception.
