Hi Pieter76
That’s a frustrating one, the moisture detected warning can appear on Samsung phones like the A55 even if the device hasn’t actually been wet. It’s usually caused by residual humidity, condensation, or a false sensor reading. Here’s a full step-by-step fix you can share (and try yourself if you’re testing for others on Samsung Members):
---
🔧 Fix Moisture Detected Warning on Samsung A55
1. Check and Dry the USB Port
Power off your phone.
Use a soft, dry cloth or cotton swab to gently wipe inside the USB-C port.
Do not blow directly into the port or use a hair dryer — that can worsen it.
Leave the phone in a cool, dry room for 30–60 minutes (not in sunlight).
> 💡 Tip: You can also put the phone upright near a fan to circulate air — avoid heat.
---
2. Clear Moisture Warning Cache
Sometimes the system falsely triggers this message due to cached data.
Go to Settings → Apps → USBSettings → Storage → Clear Cache & Clear Data
Restart your phone.
---
3. Try Safe Mode
This helps check if a third-party app is interfering.
Press and hold Power → tap and hold Power Off → select Safe Mode.
Try charging the phone.
If it charges fine, then an app may be causing the detection error.
---
4. Charge Wirelessly (if available)
If your A55 supports wireless charging (depends on region), use a wireless charger until the issue clears up.
---
5. Override Only in Emergency (Temporarily)
If you’re certain the port is dry:
1. Turn the phone off completely.
2. Plug in the charger while the phone is off.
It may charge slowly but bypasses the moisture detection temporarily.
---
6. Software Check
Make sure you’re on the latest version of One UI.
Go to Settings → Software Update → Download and install.
Occasionally, these warnings come from firmware glitches fixed in patches.
---
7. If All Else Fails
If the warning persists for more than a day, visit a Samsung Service Centre.
It could be a damaged or sensitive USB port sensor that needs recalibration or replacement.

Used to happen to me a lot if my phone was either exposed to dust or I put it under my pillow when I sleep.
Sometimes I would just blow into my charging port and it works immediately other times I found disabling fast charging solved the issue. It's not always moist, it could be just debris stuck in the port.
