Not really..a53 is new and just lacks that initial optimization after which it will out perform a52s..dont get me wrong..no disrespect to a52s..it is also a fantastic device...

Has better processor
Has 3.5mm jack
Has power adapter in box

I am not sure what A53 has except some camera features, slightly longer SW update ?

It's not excuse. It's pure comparison of A52s Vs A53.
