Please advise if your device was in for screen repairs recently? As that might be the cause. If not, please try troubleshooting steps below;

From the phone dialler, enter *#0*#.

Select Sensor

Scroll down

Under Fingerprint test, Select Normal scan.

Disable fingerprint settings and register again.
