Hi SG_Kaluzi
There’s no fixed “when” guarantee that Samsung will bring back the old bottom navigation bar — it depends on updates — but you might be able to restore something similar now using a workaround. Here’s what I found, and what you can try on your Samsung A14:

---

What’s going on

According to Samsung, in newer One UI versions, some navigation-bar/swipe options have changed.

Specifically, the “Swipe from bottom” gesture and “Gesture hints” have been removed from the standard settings for many devices.

Many users report that after a big update (e.g. One UI 6.1), the old 3-button or 3-bar swipe gestures disappeared.

There is a workaround using Good Lock + NavStar:

1. Install Good Lock from the Galaxy Store.

2. In Good Lock, install the NavStar module.

3. Open NavStar → enable “Enable extra gesture settings”.

4. Then go: Settings → Display → Navigation bar → Swipe gestures → More options. The old “Swipe from bottom” and “Gesture hint” settings should reappear.

---

Why Samsung might have removed it

Samsung’s support page mentions that they “updated” navigation bar settings to make things more concise.

The “gesture hint” bar (the little line at the bottom) is linked to features like “Circle to Search” — so Samsung might be enforcing its presence for that reason.

Some users say the option to bring back the full 3-button nav is entirely removed for now on certain One UI versions (depending on model).

---

What you can try right now

1. Install Good Lock + NavStar — this is the most common workaround.

2. After installing, go into NavStar and turn on the “extra gesture settings” as mentioned above.

3. Then go to your system’s Display → Navigation bar settings and check under “Swipe gestures → More options” to see if you get back “Swipe from bottom” / “Gesture hint”.

4. If you don’t have Good Lock or NavStar on your Galaxy Store, try updating your Galaxy Store app first — sometimes these modules are region-locked or don’t show until certain versions are installed.

---

If that doesn’t work

It may be that in your region or on your specific One UI version, Samsung has permanently removed that style of navigation.

You can send feedback to Samsung (via Samsung Members app) asking for the return of the 3-button nav or “swipe from bottom” gestures.

Keep your phone updated — future updates might reintroduce or improve navigation options.

Good lock and NavStar both don't work in Samsung A14

Oh yes,and you’re right.
Samsung A14 (both 4G & 5G models) does not support Good Lock or NavStar, so that workaround will never work on your device. This is a limitation of the A-series (especially budget models).

Here’s the clear explanation:

---

Why your Navigation Bar option disappeared

After the recent One UI update (in many regions), Samsung removed or changed the old navigation-bar options on entry-level devices like the A14.
This includes:

The 3-button navigation bar

The old “swipe from bottom” gestures

Extra customization options

Samsung is pushing the newer gesture system and removing older ones from cheaper models.

---

Can the A14 get it back?

Not through Good Lock

Because:

Good Lock is not supported on the A14

NavStar is also not supported

Even if you install them using APKs, they won’t activate because the system blocks them

So unfortunately, this path is not possible on the A14.

---

🟡 Any alternative solution?

Here’s what you can do:

✔️ 1. Check if Samsung left the option for 3-button navigation

Go to:
Settings → Display → Navigation bar
If “Buttons” is not there, then Samsung removed it completely for your update/version.

✔️ 2. Use a third-party navigation bar app

You can install from the Play Store:

“Navigation Bar – Assistive Touch”

“Gesture Navigation Bar”

“Fluid Navigation Gestures”

These apps can restore a custom navigation bar, but note:

Some require permission via PC (ADB) for full features

They are not as smooth as Samsung’s original system

But they do work on A-series phones

✔️ 3. Wait for future updates

Samsung sometimes returns features after user complaints.
But there is no confirmed date.

---

Bottom line

The missing navigation bar is not a bug — Samsung intentionally removed those options for the A14 in the latest update, and it cannot be restored through Samsung apps.

If you'd like, I can recommend the best third-party navigation bar app based on what you want:

Full 3-button navigation

Lines/gestures

Small bar at the bottom

Just tell me which style you want.
