Hi
When you say “build number doesn’t want to respond”, do you mean:
1. You’re tapping “Build number” in Settings → About phone → Software information but it’s not enabling Developer options,
OR
2. The build number section itself is frozen or not opening at all?
Please confirm which one it is so I can give the exact fix.
In the meantime, here are the main possible causes and solutions for both cases 👇
---
🧩 Case 1: You’re tapping but nothing happens (no “You are now a developer” message)
Try this:
1. Go to Settings → About phone → Software information.
2. Tap Build number 7 times quickly.
You should see “Developer mode has been turned on.”
3. If it still doesn’t respond:
Restart your phone.
Try again after 1 minute.
Make sure no “Digital Wellbeing” or “App Timer” restrictions are blocking Settings.
Go to Settings → Digital Wellbeing → App timers, and ensure Settings app isn’t restricted.
---
🧰 Case 2: “Software information” or “Build number” page won’t open / freezes
Try these steps:
1. Go to Settings → Apps → Settings (⚙️ icon)
2. Tap Storage → Clear cache (don’t clear data yet).
3. If it still doesn’t work, then Clear data too (your phone settings preferences will reset, but not personal files).
4. Restart your device and check again.
