Hi
That’s a common issue seen on some Galaxy A05 units after recent software updates or when the system becomes overloaded. Let’s go through step-by-step fixes to help you get your touchscreen working properly again:
---
🔹 1. Restart in Safe Mode (to check if it’s an app issue)
Sometimes third-party apps can freeze the touch screen.
Steps:
1. Press and hold the Power button until you see the Power menu.
2. Tap and hold “Power off” until Safe Mode appears.
3. Tap Safe Mode to restart.
4. Now, test your screen for a few minutes.
👉 If the problem doesn’t happen in Safe Mode, one of your downloaded apps is the cause.
➡️ Try uninstalling any recent apps, especially themes, launchers, or screen recorders.
---
🔹 2. Clear Cache Partition (no data loss)
This clears system junk that can cause touch delays.
Steps:
1. Power off the phone completely.
2. Press and hold Volume Up + Power button until the Samsung logo appears.
3. Use the Volume keys to navigate to “Wipe cache partition” and press Power to confirm.
4. Select Yes, then Reboot system now.
---
🔹 3. Check for Software Updates
Sometimes Samsung patches these bugs quickly.
Go to:
Settings → Software update → Download and install
Install any pending updates and restart.
---
🔹 4. Disable Touch Sensitivity Boosters
If you enabled “Touch sensitivity” or a screen protector is interfering, turn that off:
Settings → Display → Touch sensitivity → Turn off
Also, try removing the screen protector temporarily to test.
---
🔹 5. Test Hardware
Open Samsung’s hidden test menu:
1. Dial *#0*# (if it works on your model).
2. Tap Touch → follow the pattern to test all areas.
If the touch fails in some areas even here, it could be a hardware issue (digitizer fault).
---
🔹 6. Last Resort – Backup and Factory Reset
If the above steps fail:
1. Backup your data via Samsung Cloud or Smart Switch.
2. Go to Settings → General management → Reset → Factory data reset.
This removes any corrupted system files.
---
⚙️ If After Reset It Still Happens
Then it’s most likely a hardware problem with the touch panel or motherboard, especially if it stops working after warming up (which matches your 3-minute symptom).
➡️ In that case, take it to a Samsung Service Center — they might replace the display under warranty if there’s no physical damage.
